As summer evenings settle in, Attleboro residents are gathering each week for a season-long tradition that brings music, family, and fun to the heart of the city. The Summer Concert Series at the Ray Conniff Bandstand in Capron Park is once again filling the park with the sounds of live performances—and the community is loving it.

Held every week throughout the summer, the concerts are free to attend and welcome all ages. The event series, organized by the city’s Recreation Department, features a rotating lineup of local bands, tribute acts, and regional favorites covering genres from classic rock and country to jazz and pop. Whether you’re a longtime resident or just visiting the area, the performances offer something for every music lover.

Families arrive early with picnic blankets and lawn chairs, often picking up dinner from nearby takeout spots before settling in under the setting sun. Children dance by the stage while neighbors catch up, giving the concerts a nostalgic, small-town feel that’s hard to beat.

The Ray Conniff Bandstand, named in honor of the Grammy-winning bandleader and Attleboro native, offers a beautiful outdoor setting that’s become a summer staple for the community. Its central location at Capron Park also gives attendees the chance to enjoy a stroll through the grounds or a visit to the nearby zoo before the music begins.

Concerts typically kick off around 6:30 p.m., with performances running through early evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating, and while food and drink are welcome, alcohol is not permitted in the park.

If you're looking for a laid-back summer activity that celebrates local talent and brings the community together, these weekly concerts are the perfect outing.

Stay tuned to the City of Attleboro's official channels or local bulletins for upcoming band announcements and any weather-related changes.
