Foxborough residents are getting another opportunity to help shape the town’s future as the next Master Plan public workshop is set for Monday, July 29, at the Foxborough Community Center. This session follows a successful meeting held on June 24, where community members began offering input on major topics that will guide development, land use, and local priorities over the coming years.

The July 29 workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is part of Foxborough’s ongoing effort to update its comprehensive Master Plan, a long-term roadmap that covers everything from housing and infrastructure to economic growth and natural resource protection.

What Is a Master Plan?

A Master Plan is a strategic document that outlines a town’s vision for the next 10 to 20 years. It helps guide zoning, transportation projects, school planning, senior services, and more. Foxborough’s current plan is due for a refresh, and town leaders want that update to reflect the values and needs of the people who live and work here.

That’s why public workshops like these are so important. They offer a chance for residents to speak directly with planners and town officials, and to voice their thoughts on the kinds of changes or protections they’d like to see.

What Was Covered in the June Workshop?

During the June 24 session, attendees focused on four key topic areas:

  • Neighborhood character and housing affordability

  • Transportation and walkability

  • Environmental sustainability

  • Growth near downtown and Route 140

Participants were invited to contribute ideas through interactive stations, small group discussions, and written feedback. The atmosphere was collaborative and constructive, with a strong sense that resident feedback would directly influence the plan’s direction.

What to Expect on July 29

The upcoming July 29 workshop will continue the conversation and dig deeper into specific issues based on the input collected so far. Everyone is welcome to attend—whether you’re a long-time homeowner, a local business owner, a renter, or a new resident. Your perspective matters.

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., with the session starting at 6:30 p.m. The event will include a short presentation, breakout activities, and Q&A time with the planning team. Light refreshments will be served, and no advance registration is required.

Why Your Voice Matters

This is your town—and the Foxborough Master Plan will shape everything from traffic patterns and development projects to open space preservation and downtown improvements. By attending this workshop, you’re helping ensure the final plan reflects the real needs of the community.
