Foxborough’s New Indoor Pickleball Hub Opens December 1

Foxborough is getting a major new addition to its sports and entertainment scene this winter. A 40,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility will officially open its doors at Patriot Place on December 1, bringing the state’s fastest-growing sport to one of Massachusetts’ most recognized destinations.

The new facility will feature nine professional-style courts, a full-service kitchen and café, a center-court bar and lounge, and a Pro Shop stocked with the latest gear. It will also include private event space and courtside seating designed to make the experience as social as it is competitive.

The pickleball hub takes over the former Christmas Tree Shops location in Patriot Place’s South Marketplace, just steps from other popular retail and dining spots. An additional 17,000-square-foot outdoor section is also planned, giving players and spectators year-round options for both indoor and outdoor play.

Operating hours will run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 7 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The facility will host a grand opening celebration and free community play day on December 5, inviting residents to experience the courts firsthand.

More than just a sports venue, the space is being positioned as a “social hub where sport meets hospitality.” The goal is to create a welcoming destination where families, friends, and competitive players alike can gather, play, and connect in a fun and active environment.

As pickleball continues its surge in popularity, Foxborough’s new facility puts the town squarely at the center of the movement—combining athletic excitement with the energy of Patriot Place’s growing community scene.
