How Foxborough Honors Veterans: 2025 Ceremonies and Community Tributes

As Veterans Day 2025 approaches, the town of Foxborough is once again preparing to show its heartfelt appreciation to those who served. This year’s events are expected to bring together local families, veterans, students, and civic leaders to celebrate and reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Parade and Memorial Ceremony
The annual Veterans Day Parade will step off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, making its way through downtown Foxborough. Community members can expect to see local veterans organizations, marching bands, Boy and Girl Scout troops, and color guards participating in the processional.
At the conclusion of the parade, a ceremony will be held at the Foxborough Memorial Common, where town officials and veterans will speak. A moment of silence, a ceremonial wreath laying, and a 21-gun salute will mark the official observance.
Personal Stories and Local Voices
This year, organizers are also spotlighting personal veteran stories from Foxborough residents, sharing their service journeys through the local paper and community bulletin boards. These narratives help personalize the meaning of the holiday and educate younger generations about the importance of duty, service, and remembrance.
School and Student Involvement
Foxborough Public Schools will participate by hosting in-school assemblies in the week leading up to Veterans Day. These events will include guest speakers, flag presentations, and musical performances by student choirs and bands. Many students are also writing letters of thanks to be delivered to local veterans as part of a community-wide appreciation project.
Community Tributes and Flags of Honor
Around town, businesses and residents are encouraged to display flags and patriotic decorations in honor of Veterans Day. The Foxborough Veterans Services Department is also organizing a “Flags of Honor” display, where flags will be planted on the Common with the names of veterans submitted by local families.
A Town That Remembers
Veterans Day in Foxborough is more than just a parade—it’s a town-wide expression of gratitude. Whether it’s through a handshake, a tribute banner, or a few moments of silence, residents continue to make it clear that their veterans are never forgotten.
Stay tuned for a full schedule of events to be posted on the town’s official website and community boards.
